Peter Lowe is President-Elect of the British Parking Association

29 May 2017

The incoming President of the BPA for 2017-18 is Peter Lowe.

Peter has been a member of the BPA for many years and many of you will know him as chair of the BPA Wales Parking and Transport Group, a position he has held since 2010.

As a specialist independent parking consultant, he has worked with and advised more than 175 local authorities, equipment suppliers, software companies, enforcement agents, contractors, universities, hospitals, private companies and individuals around the UK on parking related matters. His day job keeps him fully informed on matters and hot topics within the sector and he is frequently used as an approachable, and suitably experienced, conduit between the BPA executive and the members

Appointed a Fellow of the BPA in July 2014 and since July 2016 he has been Vice President of the Association. In that role, he has already chaired the Council of Representatives group meeting and also represented the President at the Scottish Exhibition in Stirling.  He has played an ambassadorial role at Ministerial meetings on behalf of the BPA, and numerous parking forums and conferences, and believes that he has demonstrated his ability to represent the interests of members and that of the BPA more broadly. His experience in chairing meetings and his ability to succinctly communicate the interests of the BPA membership at public meetings is well founded.

Peter says, “I am proud to be the next President of the BPA. I believe the breadth of my experience is of particular importance to the role of BPA President as the post-holder needs to be aware of all the facets of the Association and issues relating to its diverse membership. I am looking forward to representing the parking profession at a higher level and developing ever-higher standards.”

Peter will assume the Presidency with effect from the BPA’s 2017 AGM in July.
